Dream Job

My Dream Job would to be a Character Sketch Artist at CD Projekt RED. This reason why I would love this dream job is because I love to draw characters of all different genres as well as sketching already existing characters into an alternate genre.

The responsibility's of a character artist is to make some concept art for a creature or character and then build on that concept art using a wide variety of different programs and then texture that character or creature to get the final product to go into the game. Skills and Experience Required:
  • Excellent fine art skills (sketch work and/or 3D concept work).
  • Excellent modeling and texturing skills.
  • Experience with Zbrush, 3D Studio Max and Photoshop.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Arts, or 3D Design a plus.
  • Knowledge of Role Playing games and The Elder Scrolls or Fallout a plus.
  • Game industry experience a plus.

Model [Doomhammer Model]

So today we decided to do some more 3d modeling. The models could be of anything we like of any genre so I decided that because I have played World of Warcraft in the past and it is a game I enjoy I decided to model one of the weapons in the game. The weapon i chose was Doomhammer which happens to be very nice model and has some nice detail in the model. The picture I chose to help: As you can tell the model looks quite difficult however a lot of the detail in the model can just be done with texturing the only part I could worry about or just not have on the model is the cloth above the hilt that sticks out but we shall see what happens when it comes to me texturing the model. My model so far: The shape of my model is looking very similar to what the original looks like and I am enjoying making the model as this is definitely developing my skills in 3ds max as well as texturing. I will be updating this post with every time the model is updated.

Rise of the Tomb Raider PC Release

So yesterday Rise of the Tomb Raider finally released on PC after so long of it only being on consoles. I played quite a bit of the game on the Xbox One however I am most looking forward to be able to get it for PC because I want to see what those graphics look like maxed out on PC. The game has some really cool mechanics especially with the bow being able to climb walls if you shoot an arrow into certain walls. As well as that there are some amazing scenery and game playing it.
